2009 Beginners' Courses now FULL
All places on our beginners' courses for this year have been filled. Other clubs in the area may be running courses; see the GNAS website for links. If you want to go on the mailing list for details of next years' courses, please let us have your postal address.

Stourbridge Company of Archers was formed in 1956. From a foundation of just four archers the club has increased in size to its present membership of around fifty.

The main discipline of the club is target archery, though some of its members also regularly participate in field, clout and roving marks. Most of the club's active membership is evenly split between recurve and compound archers; the rest normally shoot longbow.

Our home ground is at the Somers Sports and Social Club in Halesowen where outdoor practice, club and open shoots are held. Indoor shooting during the winter takes place at Perryfields Secondary School in Oldbury. Follow the How to find us link for further details of where and when we shoot.

Beginner’s courses are held each year over a 6-week period from late April (-ish) to mid-June. For a modest fee to cover the provision of equipment and insurance, you can have a detailed, safe and, we hope, enjoyable introduction to the sport of Archery.
